The Wedding

From Flynn's Point of View:

I couldn't believe it, my own wedding day had come...

I was beyond excited, exhilarated to be exact! In a private room set aside from the rest of the building, we set up the wedding decorations and put up the beautiful wedding arch where we would be married. When entering the room, we had a prince's and princess' crown displayed on the right and left as symbols of our royal reunion in matrimony.

The twins were dressed in their best clothing and we taught them how to walk down the aisle as they held each other's hands. My mother chose an elegant ice blue and crystal white dress with a matching necklace to wear, while Geraldine chose to wear her war gear as her dress for the wedding. I wore my basic outfit as it was mostly black already and that seemed to be the best color to wear.
I heard a knock at the door and as it opened my gorgeous woman walked through the door panels dressed in an elegant magenta gown. I never stopped smiling that day, especially when I saw my future wife walking in the door.
I could only smile with excitement as I watched her standing only a few hundred feet away. My heart was racing and my eyes were wide open, glued to her beautiful face. She seemed happy and delighted to be seeing me as well.
My mother smiled and chuckled to herself as she watched my face.
Meanwhile, Geraldine just stood still with a straight face and her dragon-like eyes staring directly at her daughter.
Joviana seemed to be deep in thought, I couldn't tell what she was thinking, I could only hope that she was doing just fine and was ready to take this next step toward our future together.
She was the most beautiful woman in the world to me and I was lucky to have found such a gorgeous princess to call my own. Her bright sky blue eyes, her long flowing magenta hair, and her plump lips. She was just amazing...
The wedding began and the music began to play. My heart seemed to beat with the rhythm...

Her father stared into his daughter's eyes one last time before he proceeded to give her off to me. He was the proudest father that day; his one and only daughter who was taken away from him, was now getting married!
The twins strolled down the aisle and eventually sat down on the floor beside my mother. Joviana and her father began to proceed down the aisle.
And the minute her father handed her to me, he kissed her cheek and said to me, "Take care of my baby girl!" I smiled and nodded. He stood over by his wife and I took Joviana's hand in mine as I pulled her toward me.
We stood under the wedding arch and stared into each other's eyes.

"Joviana, I want you to be my wife forever... you are perfect in every way... I want to protect you and be by your side for the rest of your life. Never shall you be sad or alone or in pain without me by your side. You might face times of hardship, but I will never leave you! We are soul-mates, meant to be together, and I intend to keep it that way! I am yours. Will you take me as your husband?" I said to her.

"Oh Flynn, I do take you to be my husband! I wouldn't ask for anyone better! You can keep me forever by your side! I love you!" she exclaimed.

"I love you too, my wife!" I smiled.
I took her hand and placed a beautiful gold ring with a sparkling diamond on top onto her ring finger.

She proceeded to slide a bold gold band onto my ring finger.
We held our hands together and whispered, "I love you!" to each other.

And we were married! My dream had come true! I was the happiest man! I could have held her in my arms forever...
              however...
It was time for the transition...

The Future

As we stared at my parents standing in front of us, they smiled.

"Huh, can we help you?" Flynn asked with a puzzled look.

"We are the Hanovers and we have come for you all!" the woman said.

"I'm sorry if we have startled you, but we have come in urgency to request that you come with us," the man said with a smile.

"But what do you want of us? Where do you want us to go?" I asked them.

"Darling, we are your parents and we finally have come from the future to get you!" my father said.

"Won't you come to the future with us?" my  mother begged of me, "Flynn, you haven't told her yet?"

"I'm sorry Geraldine and Jeremiah. With the children having come sooner than I expected, I hadn't gotten around to telling her that we would eventually need to leave here and go back to the future," Flynn explained.

"Future? All of us? Including my babies?" I shuddered. I was nervous about going to the future and leaving the house where Flynn and I had spent so much time together.
"Please darling, it's for the best!" my mother begged.

"Flynn, why hadn't you told me before?" I looked at him and frowned as I became more anxious.

"Joviana, don't get scared, please? This isn't as hard as you think, trust me please? I'm sorry I didn't tell you yet. I didn't think they'd come so soon!" he said as his smile turned into a frown.

"Oh Flynn, don't get sad... we can go," I said anxiously, "But how are we going to go?"

Suddenly a black hole emerged from no where, behind my parents, and a bright white light shined through.
We walked down the stairs and followed behind my parents. As they walked through the black hole, they disappeared...

As they reemerged on the other side, they changed form!
My father's brown hair and beard transformed to a bright purple color and he had a black suit and pair of slacks on instead of his grey suit coat from before. My mother's aqua and magenta hair became a light rose color. Her face was covered in magenta scales that resembled that of a lizard's skin. She also had on different clothing from before; her pink dress was now a purple and lavender suit dress...

As we entered through the portal, our children flew out of our arms and began to grow a few inches and Hibiscus's hair grew in length...
The children came out of the portal holding hands and a different change of clothing. My babies had grown up a couple of years! They looked like they were almost four years old!

Flynn and I were the last to emerge from the black hole...
We must have aged at least a couple of years if not more by the time we walked into the future! Flynn had matured into a handsome young man and I was a gorgeous mature woman. It was incredible! I felt completely different from the time we entered into the portal to the time we exited!

There was a beautiful older woman awaiting our arrive on the other side when we stepped out. Flynn later on referred to her as Flora, but he told me she was his mother! She looked a lot like him, so I could see the resemblance. It was nice to finally be able to see Flynn was really from the future and not someone who just popped out of my dreams. I mean it's a bit hard to believe some of this if you know what I mean!

We were escorted by my parents to a room where we would live for now on. We put the children to bed upstairs and were told to meet later on in the tech room below our room.

Later that evening, Flynn and I arrived in the tech room only to find no one was in the room.
Flynn heard my parents calling for his presence, so he asked me if I didn't mind waiting here for awhile. I nodded and said it was fine. I sat down beside the small pool located in the center of the room and waited for my husband to come back.

Meanwhile in a corner of another room next door...
"Alright, Joviana is doing fine and she seems to be just fine with how everything is. What did you want to see me about, Jeremiah?" Flynn asked my father.
"Well you see, we had to come sooner than we planned because Joviana is going to have to transform soon. We had to age you a few years because your bodies will handle everything better this way. We also need you to transform along with her, will you be okay with this?" Jeremiah asked Flynn.
"Yea, I can't say no. I want to be with her in every step she takes. This can be a major shock for someone if it happens alone," Flynn replied.

"Flynn, we also have one more thing to request of you," Geraldine asked.

"Okay, what is it?" he asked with a smile.

"We want you two to get married now that you have kids, will you do that for us?" she requested.
"Oh yes! I have been wanting to marry her for my whole life!" he smiled with excitement.
"Okay then you shall marry tomorrow and we shall begin the transformation soon after that!" Jeremiah replied.

"Alright! Then I shall let you announce this to her! She already knows I want to marry her and I got her a ring long before now, but she will need a wedding dress," Flynn said to Jeremiah.
"I will make the preparations!" Jeremiah said with a huge grin.

Hyacinth and Hibiscus

It was a few months later, when I was sitting down at the table one morning writing down a to-do list. Flynn and I lived a simple lifestyle filled with everyday household chores and yard work. We didn't have television or a computer, so we spent most of our days just keeping ourselves busy until the baby was born.
 "To-do list:

  • Clean kitchen
  • Scrub bathroom floor
  • Make beds
  • Do laundry
  • Fix lawn mower
  • Weed garden
  • Take trash out"

Flynn woke up a bit later than I did and eventually joined me at the dining room table. He was an avid book reader and enjoyed reading the classic novels. He would read one book and go right to the next one if I didn't stop him!
My pregnancy was going quite well, however, I wasn't as big around the stomach as I had expected. My thoughts were that the baby was just small for its size and that it would grow as it got older. I prayed that nothing was wrong with the baby. I never had a chance to see a doctor, so we could only hope that nothing went horribly wrong by the time I had the baby.
It was eleven in the morning when I started feeling the first of the contractions. I felt a sharp kick and sudden pain shoot up my spine. I cried out for Flynn to come over immediately. I thought something was wrong, but Flynn said it was normal labor pains.

"Flynn, what's going on? Sudden pain? Contraction?" I cried out.

"Babe, you are going to be fine. It's normal pain. The baby is on its way!" Flynn reassured me.
"FLYNN! IT'S TIME! THE BABY'S COMING!" I screamed as the pain grew more intense.
It was a baby boy! He was born in a matter of only moments. He was only 3 lbs and 15 inches long. He was born prematurely, but he would be alright if we kept a close eye on him and kept him fed and warm.

I became more worried as I felt more pain in my abdomen... I began to cry out again...
It turned out...
                     I was pregnant with twins...
                                                              It was unbelievable!
I named the baby boy, Hyacinth and the baby girl, Hibiscus. Two precious flowers. I loved them so much! I couldn't believe I was blessed with twins!
Hibiscus weighed in at 2 lbs, 2 ounces and her weight scared me because she was so much smaller than Hyacinth. I prayed that they would grow up strong and healthy. I knew that it was going to be hard to raise them, but we knew we could do it.
The babies slept in our bed until Flynn had gotten a chance to build another crib. He had already built a wooden highchair and small kid's craft table. I hand sewed two cute teddy bears for the twins. Having children brought out the best in us and brought us closer to each other!
The twins never had major health problems, despite them having been born early. We always kept an eye on them because we didn't want to lose our infants to anything, especially death. But as the days passed, we grew more confident in the health of our babies.

By the time the twins were almost a year old, we realized that they were very different from each other. Hibiscus was born with bright pink hair and violet highlights and bright big deep purple eyes. Her brother, Hyacinth was born with pale orange eyes and a full head of black hair with orange tips.
I didn't understand where they got their eyes or hair color from, but later on Flynn reminded me of the genetics of the future. The children took after only one trait of the parent and their genes mutated to what their future soul mates will be. Hibiscus took on my hair color, however, Hyacinth took on the black hair from someone else...
I thought that he must have taken it on from someone on my mother's or father's side, but Flynn had something else in mind...

"Joviana... I think that Hyacinth is really Damion's son. He doesn't even look a bit like me and Damion had the distinct black hair," he told me.

"But, how is that even possible? That must mean that Hibiscus is also his child, but I wasn't with Damion for more than one time!" I exclaimed.

"Remember, Hibiscus was smaller than Hyacinth and her development was a month or so behind Hyacinth. I think you might have carried two different eggs... We were together just after you were with Damion... remember?" Flynn explained.

"Ooooooooooooh my gosh....," I said with my jaw dropped.

"It's possible," Flynn said.

"That has to be it! Wow, but only you know this, they are both your children!" I said with a grin.

"Oh of course! I love them both as my own!" Flynn smiled.

A month later...
One bright morning after the sun had risen, we heard a loud crash and a bright light flashed through our windows. We were already up feeding the kids, so we picked up the kids and ran down stairs to the front door. We both hesitated, but we opened the door and our eyes opened wide as we looked outside.
Two people, a man and a woman, were standing out in front of the house staring at us. We froze in shock...

It was my mother and father...

When Nightmares Come True

One chilly quiet evening just after the moon had risen above the mountains, cold shivers traveled down my spine and shook my body into an instant chill. Flynn was already deeply worried about me that morning because he knew what was going to happen. He was a dreamer and could see through the dreams and into the future.
It was on a night quite like this one that happened in a dream I had had months before. He knew every detail about the dream and was prepared for what was to happen, but he was worried that I was going to be in trouble. He wanted to make sure I was prepared for whatever happened. I told him not to worry because with him there, nothing could go wrong. I may have been overconfident of everything, but this wasn't anything strange coming from someone so young.
We stood outside on the front porch and waited for the time to pass as the cool breeze blew against our skin. Bumps formed on our skin as we shivered in the crisp autumn air. Flynn wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close, trying to keep me warm. He kissed me on the cheek and squeezed my sides a little.
I turned away as I sighed and looked toward the pitch black road in front of the house. I was afraid and nervous. Flynn looked at me, then he took my hand and placed it on my heart.

He spoke softly, "Listen to your heart beat. It's running fast. Take a deep breath and calm down."
As I took a deep sigh and tried to calm down, Flynn wrapped his arms around me and stayed closely behind my back. We stood still in the silence of the night as the bats chirped in the distance and wind blew through the weak willow branches. I could feel his energy pulsing through mine. We were connected together and I could feel our hearts beating in sync. Unfortunately, that peace didn't last long...
Damion showed up, as expected from the dream, unannounced and dressed in the same clothing that he was in months before when I had last seen him.
Damion stood in silence, awaiting my presence. Flynn signaled me to stay behind him for a moment and stood in front of me with his hand on his hip. Flynn cleared his throat and began to speak,

"Hello. How can we help you? Do you need something?" Flynn asked Damion in a stern voice.

Damion finally broke his silence and said, "I'm here to speak to her."

I sighed and stood up straight as I began my descent down the stairs.
It took me a moment before I could get myself to actually go talk to him. I hadn't forgiven Damion for what he had done and I didn't want to leave Flynn's side, but I knew I had to do this. Flynn looked toward me and whispered for me to be strong. I took another deep breath.
I slowly walked down the stairs as I tried not to hesitate.
"Damion what do you want? Why have you come back?" I asked him.

"You told me that if I wanted to find you, I could. I have been looking for you, but I see you don't need me!" he began to shout.

"Excuse me, I told you that I might not take you back. It's not like you tried to take care of me! You have been gone months!" I said sternly.

"I can't believe you already have another guy! I didn't even, nor ever have taken someone else over you! You are such a lousy woman!" he replied. I could sense he was beginning to grow more angry.

"Oh come on! You can't pull this crap on me right now. Look I am well taken care of now and happy. You never left me with anything, but myself. You need to just accept it! I am 18 years old now and as a grown woman, I can take care of myself now!" I stated.

"Fine, take care of yourself, but just remember, I won't be your back-up guy!" he replied.
"Oh don't worry I won't be looking to you, ever... but oh, I have one more thing to tell you... I am pregnant," I said as I looked toward my stomach.

"What-t-t?! YOU SLUT! Can't believe you'd go and get pregnant so soon! Geez! ARE you telling me because you think I'm the father?" he said as he began furious and lashed out at me.

Flynn stayed back because he knew I had to deal with this, plus it was all in the dream. And if anything happened, he was right there and would jump down and protect me.
"JOVIANA! Well, am I the father? How far along are you?" Damion yelled.

"I don't know! A few months! It could be either of you!" I screamed.

"Ugh!" Damion shouted.
Damion paused for a moment before he stopped freaking out and put his hands down. I was scared for my life, but kept myself together. I hoped that he wouldn't hurt me...
He just looked at me in the eyes and then before walking away, he said, "Whatever, good luck."
And he was gone, probably for good. Flynn and I didn't need him to come around anyway...
I was disappointed and slightly heartbroken because I had to go through with a situation like that...
I never wanted to hurt Damion in such a way, but sometimes, things go the way we least expect them...
